Trilingual Texas therapist for women,
students, and first-gen Americans
Therapy can help you reconnect with yourself
to feel confident, empowered, and proud.
Past experiences DO NOT have to control your future
Right now, you may feel defeated, out of control, helpless, or like you’re simply going through the motions in life.
It doesn’t have to be like this forever.
I work with women dealing with relational trauma, students struggling with ADHD and feelings of not belonging, and first-gen Americans who are tired of feeling stuck living a life that feels foreign instead of the life they really want. I support women in all stages who are tired of self-neglecting.
You’re not broken. You already have all the answers, wisdom, and knowledge inside. You just need someone who has the tools, techniques, and trauma-informed approach to help you make sense of your life, work through your pain, all while rediscovering your true self.
but sometimes you need to know how
Querer es poder, pero a veces hay que saber // Where there’s a will, there’s a way
Approaches used in individual sessions include:
- EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprogramming) for trauma and complex trauma
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Mindfulness
- Gestalt techniques

Individual Sessions for Minors (10-17)
Relationships are complex. Differences in culture, economic status, race, religion, and country of origin can make relationships harder to navigate.
Couples therapy provides a safe, open space and a neutral third-party to help you both express your feelings and share what’s on your heart without judgment, guilt, or shame.
Learn the relationship skills no one has taught you, including how to fight without damaging the connection with your partner. Learn how to repair in conflict and what pitfalls to avoid in your dynamic.

Grow through what you feel
Most of our behavior is intended to fulfill a need. In a family, these behaviors can often lead to hurt feelings, strained relationships, and a tense home environment. And sometimes generational, educational, and cultural gaps can make these behaviors harder to navigate.
Family therapy is designed to shine a light on each family member’s needs and emotions so you can learn how to best support one another while creating a more peaceful, cooperative home.
80 minutes for 3 family members
(+15 min for each additional family member)

I’m Estela, a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate who works with women, adolescent girls, and first-gen Americans.
We never talked about mental health in my family growing up, yet I faced so many difficult experiences — a family with a significant history of alcoholism, witnessing domestic violence, financial instability, immigrating to the US at age 9, and being a first-gen college student. Throughout these moments I felt lonely, lost, disconnected, and stuck. I had no idea I could learn and develop skills to better navigate those moments.
After I graduated, I moved to Paris to teach English and Spanish, and to marry my college sweetheart. Eventually, at the age of 24, I had to make the difficult decision to leave an unhealthy marriage and return to the US to live with my parents.
After a few years of teaching at an all-girls High School, I realized my favorite part was helping them build the skills they needed to be confident, compassionate self-advocates.
Through all these experiences, I learned one transformative lesson that has changed my life: We have so much more power and control over our lives than we believe.
In my formal preparation as a psychotherapist, and as a human, I have healed the wounds resulting from these experiences. I've been able to give each of these experiences a new meaning. I've regained control over the "inner dialogue" that used to run my life. Now, it is my honor to serve as a safe guide for others looking to embark on this journey of deep healing and transformation.

This is a complicated question to answer. Your time in therapy really depends on your goals. You may feel relief soon after starting therapy, but this doesn't necessarily indicate an end to the therapeutic process.
